Skin Hunger

Short film · 2025 · Drama

Finalist, SF3 Smartphone Film Festival 2025
Official Selection, Dublin Smartphone Film Festival 2026

A film about care, isolation, and the quiet hunger for human touch.

Skin Hunger follows the intimate bond between a home carer and the elderly woman in his care: a relationship shaped by routine, tenderness, and the small rituals that give a life its meaning.

It is my second original short film, and it is rooted in personal experience. I wrote it, then co-directed and co-produced it with my fellow artist Lena Fellows. A finalist at SF3, it was screened at the Sydney Opera House, one of sixteen films chosen from more than four hundred submissions.
